Frequently Asked Questions
Got a question? We have probably answered it below.
Booking & Reservations
Currently, our maximum table size is 10 people, and advanced booking is required.
Our garden is available for walk-ins only. If it’s a sunny day and you have a dining reservation and would like to sit outside, please ask one of our hosts. Please note that outside we offer assisted service only, so you may be required to order food at the bar.
Unfortunately not — our bar is walk-in only. All bookings are for our dining area, which includes our snug on Sundays.
Yes — if you require a highchair, please let us know in your booking notes so our host team can accommodate you at a suitable table and provide one. We do need advance notice.
Food & Drink
Absolutely — please see our menus page for our Sunday lunch menu.
Please note, we only serve this and our Young Horses menu on Sundays from 12pm to 5pm.
Unfortunately, we have a limited menu. While we offer a number of delicious vegetarian dishes, we currently have very few fully vegan options.
Visiting Us
We have a limited number of spaces, so we advise planning your parking prior to visiting. On-road ‘pay by phone’ parking is available during off-peak times adjacent to the pub, and there is a large public car park just a 3-minute walk away at Victoria Park, next to De Montfort Hall.
Yes, we have step-free access to the pub from our limited car park. For restaurant bookings, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate you at a suitable table.
Yes, dogs are allowed in the pub.
Small, well-behaved dogs are also welcome in the restaurant, but not in our carpeted area.
Children are very welcome at The Old Horse until 8pm.
Laptops are allowed in our snug area, but phone calls should be kept to an absolute minimum.
